Meetworth is a networking app for people who run their own business. You upload proof of business registration and a photo ID when you sign up, and a reviewer checks both before your profile goes live. After that you swipe through other verified owners, match, and start a conversation. It runs on iPhone, iPad and Android.
The problem
Anyone can claim a title on a general professional network. You spend your evening scrolling past coaches, recruiters and self-appointed gurus to find one person who signs payroll. Local chambers and meetup groups fix the trust problem, then cap you at whoever lives within driving distance. Meetworth asks its members for documents up front so the person on the other side of the match owns a company, and then drops the geography limit so you can reach someone in another country the same way you reach someone in your city.
What we built
- Document verification during onboarding. You submit business registration proof and ID, a reviewer approves or rejects it, and rejected members can resubmit
- Swipe-based discovery with filters for business category, location, age and interests
- Matching that opens 1:1 chat and group chats, with group owners able to rename their group
- Message editing and unsend inside a 15 minute window, inline reply quotes, and a reaction picker
- A feed for text, photos and video, plus 24 hour stories with heart reactions and replies that land in the sender's 1:1 chat
- A network map that plots your connections across the world and lets you browse by city
- Network Score, a weekly score out of 100 with a breakdown of streak, connections and what to improve
- Daily quests that award points for connecting and messaging, and levels that raise your visibility as you climb
- Super Connect and gifts for standing out with a specific person
- Referral rewards, with referral and payout tracking inside the app
- Username search for finding a specific person and sending a connection request
- Membership tiers (Bronze free, Silver and Gold paid) with tier-based matching, billed through in-app purchase on both stores
- Push notifications for messages, new connections, story likes and entrepreneurs joining nearby, plus a Monday recap
- A home screen widget showing Network Score, streak and level
- Onboarding progress that survives a quit and reinstall
How we worked
You get a build every week that you install on your own phone and use. Feedback goes to the engineers who wrote the code, and they answer you. No account manager sits between you and the people building your app, so nothing gets lost being relayed twice. The team that shipped Meetworth still maintains it, which means the person fixing a bug next month already knows why the code looks the way it does.
The outcome
Meetworth ships on Google Play and the App Store. Google Play lists it under Business, Apple under Social Networking. The app runs on iPhone, iPad and Android phones in English, and needs iOS 17 or later on Apple devices. Version 2.0 rebuilt the product around quests, stories, group chats and the network map, and 2.0.1 followed with message editing, Network Score and the home screen widget. Both listings are live and the app is still under active maintenance.
