Noma Collective

Pick your Edition, see what's included, book your room.

Noma Collective runs three and four week remote work Editions in Costa Rica, Italy, Thailand, Belize and a dozen other places. You keep your job. Noma handles the accommodation, the coworking space, the on-site community manager and the excursions. We built the site where you compare destinations, work out whether one suits you, and book a room.

The problem

Choosing where to live and work for the next month is a large decision you make from a browser tab. Your standup does not move, so you need the GMT offset before you commit. You need the temperature range, whether there is a desk, what the room looks like, what the price covers, what costs extra and how many spots are left. A booking page that answers those questions turns a browser into a customer. Every question it skips sends someone back to search.

What we built

  • A Next.js site on Vercel, with Contentful behind the Editions, room types, highlights, galleries and blog posts
  • A Locations index where each Edition card carries the city, country, dates, trip length in days, starting price, GMT offset and temperature range, plus a Surprise Me control for people who have not picked a destination yet
  • Edition pages that score the trip across Foodie Heaven, Wellness, Nightlife, Nature and Activity, so you can tell a surf camp from a slow month
  • A What's Included grid covering yoga, gym access, pool, food and drink, coworking, wifi and a local data SIM, the community manager, laundry, rentals, excursions and airport transfers, with the paid extras marked as extras
  • Room tiers with photos, descriptions, starting prices, a spots-left count and a book button on each one
  • Highlights, a guest gallery and alumni testimonials that name the person's job and how many Editions they have done
  • A news section with alumni spotlights, city guides, visa explainers and remote work advice, sorted into categories
  • FAQ, code of conduct, terms, privacy and contact pages, with the sales call handed off to Noma's scheduling flow
  • Per-Edition Open Graph and Twitter card metadata, so a link to Playa Grande previews with the Playa Grande photo and copy when someone drops it in Slack or WhatsApp

How we worked

You get a build every week that you can open and use on your own phone. Feedback goes to the engineer who wrote the code. Nobody sits in between taking notes and forwarding them on, so what you flag this week lands in next week's build. The team that builds your product is the team that maintains it. When you come back wanting another destination on the calendar, the same people are still holding the codebase.

The outcome

The build serves Noma's full 2026 Edition calendar: Palermo, Honduras, Playa Grande, Athens, Pipa, Koh Lanta, Egypt, Placencia and Sao Vicente, each with live availability and its own room inventory. Noma's team adds destinations, rooms, highlights and articles through Contentful without opening a ticket. The site runs in English, on web, with the layout holding from phone to desktop.

Our whole business runs on people picking a destination and trusting what they see. AppCrew gave every Edition its own page with the dates, the rooms and what's included, and our marketing team publishes new ones without waiting on a developer.
