Website

Oatly

Shop oat drinks and get recipes from the source.

Oatly makes oat drinks. The website is where the brand meets everyone who drinks it: shoppers checking what is on the shelf, cooks hunting for a recipe, and readers digging into where the company stands on climate. You land on the same voice the brand uses everywhere, and you can act on it.

The problem

A food brand needs its website to do more than list products. Oatly built a voice that is loud and opinionated, and the site has to carry that voice while it sells oat drink, explains nutrition, and makes the sustainability case. A stock template flattens a brand like that. The pages start to read like every other grocery site, and the personality people came for drains away.

What we built

  • Product pages for the full range: oat drink, chilled oat drink, cooking, and oatgurt
  • A seasonal recipe library, the Look Books, that the team refreshes each season
  • A news and stories hub for campaigns and partnerships, from EF Pro Cycling to the Nespresso collaboration
  • A sustainability section with the climate plan, the climate solutions case, and a per-product climate footprint label
  • A health and nutrition area that answers the questions people ask about oats
  • Careers, investor, and contact routes for the people who need them
  • A Storyblok content model, so the marketing team ships new campaigns without waiting on an engineer

How we worked

You saw a working build every week and clicked through it yourself. Feedback went to the engineers who write the code, so nothing got lost in a relay. The team that built the site is the team that maintains it. No account manager sits between you and the people shipping your work.

The outcome

The site runs on Storyblok and covers the whole brand: products, recipes, news, sustainability, health, careers, and investor pages. Marketing publishes new campaigns and seasonal Look Books on their own. We still maintain it.

AppCrew rebuilt our site to move as fast as our marketing. We shipped every week, talked straight to the engineers writing the code, and the same team still runs the site today.
