Qoneqt

Join verified communities and post without an algorithm.

Qoneqt is a social app built around identity verification. You verify who you are, you get a badge, and then you post, join groups, and message people who went through the same check. Human Quotient Private Limited runs it out of Thane. Creators, working professionals, and interest groups make up the audience.

The problem

Open a mainstream social app and a ranking system sits between you and the people who follow you. You write something, it reaches a slice of your audience, and you never find out why. Fake accounts crowd the replies. Group admins get tools shaped around advertising spend instead of the day to day work of keeping a community civil. Anyone who wants a smaller space with real people in it has to build it on infrastructure designed for scale.

Qoneqt takes the other route. Verify every account at the door, show posts in order, and hand admins the controls they need.

What we built

  • Identity verification that gates full access to the platform and awards a verified badge on completion
  • A home feed with no boosting, no suppression, and no shadowbanning, rebuilt with a new layout in the July 2026 release
  • Communities you create or join around a topic, with admin and moderator roles and member access controls
  • Reels for short video, shipped in version 13.0
  • Status updates, plus Qlips you can save for later
  • Live Qast for live sessions, shipped in version 14.1
  • Direct chat, with a dedicated security pass in version 12.8
  • An in-app AI agent, added in version 12.5 and tuned in the releases after it
  • User tagging, image filters, and network suggestions across the posting flow
  • Dark and light mode
  • A reporting and moderation system for community admins
  • Privacy controls that let you manage your own data and request deletion, with no data shared with third parties per the Play data safety declaration
  • Subscription tiers and Diamond top-ups handled through in-app purchase on both stores
  • Native builds for Android and iOS, with the iOS build running on iPhone, Apple Silicon Macs, and Vision

How we worked

Every week the client got a build they could install on a phone and use. They tapped through the real screens on real data before deciding what to change.

Feedback went to the engineers who wrote the code. Someone opens the app, finds the feed lagging on scroll, says so, and the person who owns that screen picks it up. No account manager in the middle turning a specific complaint into a vague ticket.

The version history shows how that plays out over time. Feed lag, scroll position, upload bugs, status glitches, notification routing. Each one landed in a release within weeks of being reported.

The team that built Qoneqt still maintains it. Same engineers, same context, no handover.

The outcome

Qoneqt ships on Google Play and the App Store. Google Play lists it under Social with more than 100,000 downloads and a 12+ content rating. The App Store lists it under Social Networking at 16+, in English, requiring iOS 15.1 or later.

Development continues. The Play listing updated on 15 July 2026 and the iOS build sits at version 14.1, released the same week. The last three releases added Live Qast, a new homepage UI, and a fix for scroll position in post history.

AppCrew gave us a build every week that we could open and use. When something felt wrong in the feed, we said so, and the engineer who wrote that screen fixed it. Same team from the first release through every update since.
