Request It

Post a task, hire a helper, pay when it's done

Request It is a task marketplace for two kinds of people: those who need a job done and those who want to earn by doing it. You post what you need, someone ready to work picks it up, and the payment clears once the job is finished.

The problem

Getting a small job done usually means chasing people through calls and chat. You ask around for someone who does deliveries or home repairs, agree on a price in a message thread, and hand over cash with no record of the deal. A quick delivery, a plumbing fix, a design task, each one starts from scratch. Request It holds the whole exchange in one place, from the offer to the payment.

What we built

  • Offer creation, so you post a task with the details and a price you set
  • A marketplace that matches people who need work done with people ready to do it
  • In-app payments that clear when the job is finished
  • Location sharing so both sides can coordinate a delivery or an on-site visit
  • Account and profile management, including personal details and document uploads

How we worked

You saw a working build every week and used it yourself. Your feedback went straight to the engineers who write the code, with no account manager in the middle passing notes. The team that built Request It still maintains it, so the people who know the codebase are the ones who answer when something needs a change.

The outcome

Request It shipped to the Google Play Store under AppCrew Technologies in the Lifestyle category. It runs on Android as a mobile app and covers the full loop from posting an offer to paying for finished work. We still maintain it, with the most recent update in February 2026.

We brought AppCrew a rough idea for a task marketplace and they shipped a working app on the Play Store. The team stayed close through every build and turned our feedback around fast.
